I like it...

So I'm really getting into this whole sewing thing.... I think I'm definitely learning a lot and it's been a lot of fun. Here are some of my recent projects...

Fun, puffy little skirt. It's actually chiffon with grey underneath but you really can't tell.

I made this dress and another one just like it. My students want me to make them dresses, too. haha

Sid's birthday gift!!! She asked for a Brave nightgown.... and she got one! :) 

This fabric literally makes me laugh. :)

Such bad luck....

The last two times we've gone camping the weather has been awful! The first time the wind was so bad we had to put huge rocks in our tent... and this past weekend it stormed almost the entire time.

Lucky for us, we got tiny holes in the tent from the rocks and didn't know about it.... We got up the next morning and everything was soaked. lol. :P

We still had some fun though.... you have to when you're camping!!! :)

Oktoberfest

T and I went to Oktoberfest at Snowbird Resort again this year. It's just too awesome not to go. We went with another couple that had never been there and we had such a fun time!! Of course we stuffed our faces with brats, sauerkraut, german potato salad and, of course, the black beer. They were having a military special that weekend -- free tram rides! Tony and I already did the tram the first year we went, so we opted for the chair lift instead. Let's just say I was terrified the entire time, but I'm so glad I did it. The views were simply amazing and the ride up the mountain was long and (somewhat) relaxing. :)

Vacation 2012 (part two)

Ok, so I got next to no pictures from our trip to Cincinnati.. sooo... yeah... here's some from Florida and our last minute trip to Antigua! Yeah, that's right. I said Antigua. :)

Cocoa Beach! and I didn't get fried!!! Miracle.

We took the canoe out to an island on the Banana River... and then got attacked by noseeums. 

At a beachside restaurant listening to a good band... and ate some yummy food of course.

ANTIGUA!!! 

We hopped on a military flight (for next to no money) and headed to the east caribbean for a few days. Our returning flight was delayed for a whole day so we just HAD to stay in Antigua for an extra day. So sad.

Vacation 2012 (part one)

Tony and I had such a wonderful time on our vacation this summer - it was so nice to see our family and friends and can't wait to see everyone again!! :)

The Marion visit was (as always) super relaxing. Gauge literally had the time of his life being able to run around the huge yard... not to mention hangin with his new girlfriend Bella. haha :)
