Ode to the KitchenAid

I finally put my new KitchenAid mixer to use last night. Chocolate chip cookies (delicious!) and zucchini bread. Tried the shredder attachment for the zucchini... it didn't work as well as I would have liked. Probably didn't turn out how it should, but I had no clue since I've never eaten it before.... at least it looked pretty! :)

Creekside Elementary

So I got a job.... teaching elementary!

Definitely not what I'm used to, but I'm excited for the challenge.

Why is it that music teachers are always so isolated from everyone else??

Anyway, I teach grades 1-6 in the Davis School District... it's a part time position that I feel should be full time. I mean come on, I teach 6 classes a day! (except for Fridays which will be spent sleeping in. hehe)

The beginning of a huge mess

So we finally received our shipment on the 16th. Our townhouse was (still is) a complete mess.

Hopefully we'll get everything in order, pictures on walls, etc. this weekend. I'm determined!
